VETERINARY OUTREACH: Veterinary Services
Health care is an important part of keeping our animals happy. We provide a preventive care program to make it convenient and affordable. We now have a surgical unit for affordable spays & neuters and simple procedures and we can handle many non-lifethreatening problems satisfactorily. We do mostly dogs and cats but can do nail/wing/hoof trims for other species, and can advise you about housing, feeding and common health problems of a wide variety of animals. We also can help you with behavior problems in your animals. A holistic approach is used and referrals can be made to appropriate traditional and alternative health care specialists.
For the sad time when an animal needs to be released from suffering, we can provide in-home euthanasia and private cremations.
Group visits are encouraged. We like to teach people how to spot health problems in their pets and learn basic care and nutrition to keep them healthy, and a group discussion is a great way of getting the knowledge out more efficiently.
The products we carry are ones that address commonly overlooked issues for the health and safety of your pets. They have been selected for effectiveness and affordability, and are ones that are sometimes not easily found in local pet stores.
Because many people find the technical language of their veterinarians difficult, we offer "interpretation services" and second opinion of the care your animal may already be receiving as well. If the health issue is not one we commonly face, we will research it and either refer you or suggest a treatment or refer you to a practice that handles your type of case. A simple opinion requires that you be registered as a client. If you want a protocol for treatment alternatives, we require that your animal have been seen by our vet.
